The Ear, Nose and Throat or Otorhinolaryngology department is responsible for the medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat (ENT), and related structures of the head and neck.
The E.N.T. consultant treats a wide range of conditions specific to each of the separate areas (although a condition may affect more than one site at the same time) and this includes;
• Hearing loss
• Balance disorders
• Smelling disorders
• Polyps removal
• Nasal obstructions e.g. deviated septum
• Diseases of the throat, larynx and eosophagus
• Cancers of the throat, larynx and eosophagus
• Voice and swallowing disorders
The E.N.T. consultant routinely collaborates with other specialists within our hospital to ensure that the best treatment options are afforded to the patients.
