The laboratory is operated by a team of qualified, experienced and professional staff. It provides a 24-hour emergency on-call service.
The clinical laboratory is ISO 15189:2012 accredited via yearly inspections by the Cyprus Organization for the Promotion of Quality (ΚΟΠΠ). This is performed by CYS-CYSAB, which operates under the Standardization, Accreditation and Technical Notification Law (L156(I)/2002). According to this law, CYS-CYSAB constitutes the legal entity within the framework of which the Cyprus Accreditation Body (CYS-CYSAB) operates and offers accreditation services to among others testing Laboratories (including Medical Laboratories). To meet this accreditation the laboratory implements management systems aiming at providing reliable and quality acceptable test results and conducting activities and tests in a standardized, systematic, scientific and professional manner. It does this via both internal and external, independent quality control assessment systems.
